Michele is an experienced ICF PCC accredited coach and is part of our Animas coach mentor team. She actually had her first taste of coach training using the GROW model in 1998, during a stint of more than twenty years working in the public sector. This work spanned the civil service, various management tiers as well as managing and recruiting in the care sector.
In this time Michele built upon her communication, organisational, and most importantly, people skills, before reacquainting with coaching through Animas in early 2014, and qualifying later that year.
Now, Michele is a fully-qualified Resilatude Coach, meaning a coach that works with people on how to build resilience based on the attitude that they approach life with, and really enjoys watching her clients take their first steps towards positive change, which perhaps never seemed possible. She specialises in wellbeing coaching, combining mindfulness techniques acquired from accredited certificates in health and wellbeing, existential and mindfulness coaching to help individuals deal with stress, overwhelm and health issues.
Michele finds herself working with people of all ages, that range from people that are facing varying degrees of adversity, from individuals with a certain level of anxiety of what life might throw at them, to people that are seriously depressed. Michele is a strong believer in the power of subtle humour, or the power of a smile, and often, having built rapport very quickly, endeavours to seek out that sliver of light, allowing her clients to recognise that in everything there is that tiny sliver of something that you can acknowledge, and smile about for even a moment before working out what the next steps are.
Michele brings this same mentality into the mentor space. She loves connecting with people, and her gentle and warm nature helps to quickly set the foundations of rapport and trust, in turn allowing the use of humour and smiles that she so enjoys in that space.
