Animas Position on Coronavirus – 24th March 2020
In light of the situation with Covid-19, and with the health and safety of our students and trainers at the front of our minds, we would like to share our updated position around this.
These are extraordinary and unexpected times, and we are all feeling the impact of Covid-19 in some way, whether personally or professionally.
We now believe we have reached a point where we need to make a decision on how to ensure the continuity of our students’ training in a manner that gives them confidence, certainty and the ability to plan.
We have, therefore, decided to move all of our in-person training to a live virtual environment until the situation allows us to revert back to classroom-based training. This means that our students can be assured that their learning will continue uninterrupted and also that there are no associated risks.
The virtual experience itself will replicate the training room in all ways with facilitator-led presentations, break-out sessions, interactive group conversations, Q&A, detailed walkthroughs of models, coaching practice and more.
This change will also in no way affect the accreditation of our training. Indeed, we were pleased to see that only yesterday, the International Coach Federation encouraged coaching schools to move their training into a virtual space to ensure the wellbeing of students. More broadly, they have also encouraged coaches to transition towards virtual coaching and have been providing guidance on how to make this shift.
To reiterate, our priorities right now are the health and safety of our students and staff, and to ensure that people that train with us can continue their journey to become a coach, and to do so in a way that is safe and responsive to the situation.
Our aim will be to return to in-person training as soon as we can. We will keep the situation under constant review and will, of course, post updates when we have them
We really appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time.
